Robert Stoffel was born on August 24th, 1959. He grew up in Haddon Heights, NJ with his parents and 4 siblings. When Rob was 16 years old, he met the love of his life and future wife, Joan. Rob and Joan's love expanded when they had Ashley and Jessica. Rob had a successful career in health insurance. In 2001, Rob started his own company, Integrity Consulting Group. Rob put his heart and soul into his company and was respected by everyone he worked with.
Rob took his career seriously, but always saved time for the things he loved most. He loved to travel, play sports (especially golf, soccer, and volleyball). He could make anyone laugh as well as feel welcomed and loved, no matter what. Rob made friends everywhere he went and never failed to put a smile on people's faces. He was a genuine man, a leader, a dear friend, and an adventurous soul.
What Rob cherished the most though, was spending time with his family. Rob coached his daughters in many sports and played on his own intramural sport teams with his brother, Michael and many good friends.
In 2006, Rob was diagnosed with Melanoma, by 2011 Rob's cancer spread to his brain and he was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma. Statistics were very poor. Rob decided to sell his company and spend his final 5 years enjoying the things he loved. Although there were many ups and downs along the way, Rob always kept a positive spirit and never complained about his situation. The Stoffel family learned to take each day as it came and make the most of the time they had together.
In the winter of 2015, Rob became very ill; his cancer had spread throughout his abdomen and liver. By May he was entered into a clinical trial at Yale University, the last hope in saving his life. Rob lost his long and courageous battle on August 5th, 2016 at Yale.
This golf outing was created to honor Rob's legacy and raise money to help find a cure for Melanoma. Rob was loved by so many and was an inspiration to everyone he knew. Rob's story will live on in all of the hearts that he touched during his 56 wonderful years on earth.
